Amira Adawe, MPH joined us at the end of February 2018 to shed light and share her knowledge and research about skin-lightening practices in immigrant and refugee communities. Her work was also featured in a story on NPR.
Amira is Manager at the Minnesota Children's Cabinet in the Office of the Governor and Founder of the The Beautywell Project. She also hosts her own show, Beauty-Wellness Talk on KALY-FM 107.1, a Somali-American community radio station broadcast out of Minneapolis. You can follow her on Twitter here
